Urban Decay Naked3 Palette Review

Hey everyone,

This summer I finally went out and purchased all three Naked Palettes from Urban Decay. It probably wasn't necessary, but they are great quality, a good price for the amount of eyeshadow you get and well loved by people all around the world. I've already written posts on Naked original and the Naked2 palette, so it's about time I wrote about the latest addition: Naked3.
"Experiment with 12 NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN (and insanely beautiful) rose-hued neutrals—from pale, shimmery pink to deep black matte with rosy red micro-glitter. It's finally here: the long-awaited follow-up Naked and Naked2 (two of the industry's all-time bestselling palettes)! And this time around, we're giving you a dozen NEW ways to get Naked."
The Naked3 Palette has almost identical packaging to the Naked2 palette, with the large mirror, metal casing and clickable closing. It's much better than the Naked original palette which was a velvet material with a magnetic closing. The only differences between 2 & 3 is the textured lid and rose gold colour.
This entire palette has a pink/rose theme. The colours begin with pale pink shades, and move into warmer roses and cranberry shades, even finishing up with a blackened red.
The first four shades: Strange (a buttery pale colour with slight yellow undertones), Dust (a sparkly pink champagne colour), Burnout (a deeper pink champagne with a rose gold tint to it) and Limit (a warm neutral dusty rose perfect for the crease).
The second four shades: Buzz (a cooler pink/brown shade with some silvery glitter running through it), Trick (a warmer golden peach with glitter), Nooner (a deeper version of Limit, perfect for the crease) and Liar (a warm taupe with pink undertones).
The final four shades are: Factory (a darker taupe shimmer, with the same warm tones as Liar), Mugshot (a more neutral taupe shade, doesn't have much pink in it), Darkside (a brown with hints of purple and a less shimmery finish, more of a satin shade) and finally, Blackheart (a blackened red with a base of black pigment and red shimmer running throughout).

I love all three Naked palettes. If I had to pick a favourite I think it would have to be the original, but all three have something unique to offer. Naked 3 probably has the most limited audience, as pink shades aren't as universally flattering as what is offered in Naked 1 and 2, but I do think it's unique and has some very beautiful shades. It's the type of palette which would make for a beautiful bridal look, or something a bit softer, especially for paler skin tones.
My favourite 3 shades from the palette have to be: Burnout, because it provides a good amount of pink while still being wearable, Nooner, because it's the ideal warm crease shade, especially on green eyes, and Factory, because it's a unique taupe by having those warm undertones, making it more wearable on many people.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Which Naked palette was your favourite?

Thanks for reading!
Megan
