Halloween Series: Black Swan Makeup Tutorial

Hey everyone!

Today I'm uploading a look which I'm actually going to use at Halloween myself! It's Black Swan, inspired by the movie. I muted the look a little bit, because I'm not actually going to go around scaring everyone, but to make it creepier all you have to do is add red contacts, use completely white face paint and drag the face paint down onto your chest and shoulders. Anyway, here's my take on the look! Enjoy!

To begin I applied my palest foundation. I wanted a matte finish too, because most ballerinas wouldn't wear a glowy finish on stage, and neither did Black Swan.

I then used NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk all over the upper half of my face.

I blended it in to add some extra paleness.
I then lightly dipped a brush into the black eyeshadow and contoured my cheekbones.

I then used L'Oreal's Lineur Intense liquid eyeliner to outline where the eye makeup is. I wanted to use a liquid to get perfect points by the nose.

I then took the shade Gunmetal from the Urban Decay Naked palette.
And the shades Pistol and Verve from the Naked2 palette and shaded the eyes in, using different shades in different places and leaving the lower half blank.

I then used a matte black eyeshadow to fill in the under eye area.

Using both the Rimmel Scandaleyes in a gunmetal shade and my liquid liner to create some feathers in the outer part of the eye makeup.

I then tightlined my eye with a black kohl liner.

Then I added some mascara and some false lashes. These particular lashes had purple tips (would have been perfect for my mermaid tutorial!) but I just put some mascara over the ends to make them black.

Here you can see the length of the lashes!

Then for the lips I used MAC's Prunella eyeliner and Givenchy's Black Plum lipstick.

 My costume!
A hilarious picture captured by my boyfriend.
 And the finished look!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Thanks for reading!
