Today I'm reviewing the Essence Quattro Eyeshadow palettes. They're a 4 shade palette with a mixture of matte, satin and shimmery eyeshadows in a variety of colours. Here they are!
First up is 05 To Die For. It's made up of neutral shades, 3 out of the 4 are shimmery and one dark brown is matte. I apologize for this picture, every so often my iPhone pictures end up like this after they've been imported into iPhoto.... and I don't know why!
The swatches show that the pigmentation isn't great, it's a bit chalky, although they blend reasonably well.
Up next we have a blue palette called 09 Denim 4.0. It's made up of all shimmery/satin colours, and one rather sparkly matte shade which seems more like a baked eyeshadow with chunkier glitter.
You can see that the pigmentation varies and so does the texture, but I think for the price the electric blue shadow is really beautiful, creamy and pigmented.
Thirdly we have 11 Sea My Eyes!, which turns out to be a pretty, but rather unusual palette. The colours don't seem to work together too well, but I will write a more indepth review later.
While the pink champagne colour looks beautiful in the pan, it's disappointingly sheer and chalky in real life. The stormy blue shade is also a bit patchy, however the last two deeper shades are much better quality.
Overall I think they're worth trying out for the cost. These quads have unfortunately been discontinued, however the single eyeshadows boast an impressive shade range and quality.
